1. Recently, Belkin reported more than 16% market share in Indian Wireless Networking market. Please discuss the company's expectations and vision on gaining market share in India?
Ans: In 2010, newer and more user friendly product launches are planned and we are well positioned to capture even bigger slice of the Indian wireless networking business. We expect to be a 1000 crore company by 2015. It is a difficult path but with the kind of products we offer, the kind of customer service we provide and the effort we put in training our partners, I am sure we will be able to achieve it with ease.
2. Recently, Belkin has announced an aggressive rollout of its structured cabling business strategy in India. In fact, you look forward to appoint 500 channel partners in the next three months. What are your future programs for India?
Ans. India is a growing economy and thus a significant market for Belkin. We have our existing team of 30 Channel Sales Managers, present across the country, to do this task. As far as future programs are concerned, by the end of March 2011, we expect to have a market share of around seven percent in the segment, from the current time where we have zero market share. In the next 12 months, we are also looking at revenues exceeding five million dollars and 8 to 12 million dollars in the subsequent years.
3. Belkin has unveiled their AC Anywhere with USB charging, which offers Power on the go. What are the new products with diverse innovation you will bring in the near future?
Ans. Our AC Anywhere is in line with our commitment of providing best technology products "on the go". We have a gamut of products waiting to launch in Indian market in diversified segments such as Accessories, Networking, Energy management etc.
4. Please mention the prime focus areas for your Indian operations and which sector is more promising for you in the upcoming years? What are the key growth areas/segments for the next fiscal?
Ans. Apart from continuously introducing new product lines our focus over the next twelve months is to further streamline our distribution logistics, deploy direct field force across 31 key cities in India, delivering world class RMA and warranty service backed by a national toll-free number and ensure retail shelf availability for our products across more than 10,000 storefronts. In addition, we have already embarked upon an aggressive market outreach program to enhance brand visibility across target market segments. Next fiscal year is very challenging and exciting for Belkin, we aim to do well in all segments including Active/Passive networking, latest accessories and energy saving products.
